3-6+ month contract opportunity with potential to be hired on permanently. Hybrid work - 3 days onsite and 2 days remote. Must have SAP S/4HANA experience to be considered.

Overview:
Following a recent SAP S/4HANA go-live, the Materials Planning function is still stabilizing and currently understaffed. Processes are not yet standardized, and the team is operating with limited capacity. This role is focused on day-to-day execution ensuring materials availability, supporting production continuity, and helping the team operate effectively within S/4HANA. The position will be on-site 3 days per week in Kentucky.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute daily materials planning activities to ensure uninterrupted supply to production
  • Manage purchase requisitions, supplier communication, and delivery tracking to prevent shortages
  • Monitor inventory levels, safety stock, and material requirements within SAP S/4HANA
  • Resolve material shortages, expedite critical components, and address supply disruptions in real time
  • Maintain and validate planning-related master data to support accurate MRP outputs
  • Support basic process standardization while prioritizing continuity of operations
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and supply planning teams to align on priorities

Key Challenges:

  • Evolving and inconsistent planning processes post–SAP go-live
  • Limited internal resources requiring hands-on, execution-focused support
  • Dependence on legacy tools and individual knowledge vs. system-driven planning
  • Ongoing SAP S/4HANA stabilization impacting planning accuracy and efficiency

Objective:
Provide immediate, hands-on materials planning support to ensure business continuity, stabilize daily operations, and enable a smoother transition to standardized, SAP-driven planning processes.
