We're partnering with a well-known organization in the Washington, DC area seeking a Web Production Assistant to support a busy digital content team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on website production, content publishing, and managing high volumes of web updates within a CMS environment.
This is an execution-focused role, not a web strategy, UX, or content strategy position. You'll work closely with web content managers and strategists to build, publish, edit, and maintain website content while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality across digital properties.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build and update website pages within a CMS environment
- Publish and maintain web content, images, videos, and other digital assets
- Execute daily content updates and page edits across multiple websites
- Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring proper naming conventions and usage rights
- Troubleshoot minor page layout, responsiveness, and content display issues
- Support quality assurance efforts through testing, audits, and content reviews
- Assist with metadata updates, tagging, SEO enhancements, and content organization
- Handle a high volume of production work, averaging 10-12 page updates per day
What We're Looking For
- Experience working in content management systems such as Drupal or WordPress
- Previous website publishing and web production experience
- Comfort editing content, uploading assets, and managing page updates
- Basic HTML knowledge and ability to troubleshoot simple web issues
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with image editing, resizing, and asset management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently on repetitive production-focused tasks
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with SEO best practices, metadata updates, and content tagging
- Familiarity with information architecture, taxonomies, and website organization
- Experience working with large spreadsheets and content inventories
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid schedule in the Washington, DC area
- 3 days onsite per week (Wednesday required)
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
